Finding the right college requires more than just looking at a website. Students need to see themselves on campus, and at Central Methodist University’s Central Experience, to be held November 7, they have the chance to do just that.
With registration now open to any interested high school students, Central Experience is an opportunity for students to visit Fayette and get to know our community and campus. The immersive event is a chance for those looking into colleges to get to know life as a Central student, giving visitors the opportunity to learn about student organizations, academic programs, and the beautiful campus firsthand.
Students will have the chance to talk to the same faculty that will be teaching their classes, meet and ask questions of current CMU students, and learn about more than 40 clubs and student organizations that can help them get involved. At the end of the day, they can even help cheer on the Eagles in an exciting home football game.
Student check-in will kick off the day at 8:15 a.m., with student and interest panels following at 8:30. Visitors can then take part in the Academic Fair to explore majors and programs, then take a guided campus tour before grabbing lunch from a food truck at the Involvement Fair. In addition to learning about all the clubs and organizations at the fair, students will be able to enter a drawing for prizes including Beats headphones or a CMU swag basket. The football game will kick off at 1 p.m. as the Eagles take on William Woods. The Eagle Store will also be open throughout the day for students and families who wish to stock up on CMU gear.
