The faculty and staff at Central Methodist University began the new academic year with a meeting on August 14, during which many individuals were recognized with awards and for their milestone years of service.
Members of the senior staff gave updates and encouragement to the staff and faculty before recognition was given to the winners of the Omicron Delta Kappa awards. Voted on by Central students at the end of the spring semester, three faculty members and two staff members were named this year’s Gold Chalk Award winners.
Among the faculty, Maryann Rustemeyer (associate professor of English and mathematics, director of the Center for Learning and Teaching), Dr. Terese Zidon (assistant professor of biology), and Jesse Bronson (assistant professor of criminal justice) were the awardees, while Savannah Beaman (director of residential life and retention) and Teresa Argent (assistant director of the Center for Learning and Teaching) were the staff award winners.
