Central Methodist University will once again be inviting students’ loved ones to campus next weekend for the annual Family Day celebration on September 21.
At Central, Family Day is a great opportunity for students’ families to come to campus and see how college life is going for their students.
“Family Day is a great opportunity for CMU to create a lasting memory for our students and their families. We want our students to look back on their time at Central and remember this day,” said Joshuah Dietz, coordinator of student programming at CMU.
Saturday will be full of activities, starting at 9 a.m. with pickup of Family Day shirts outside of Puckett Fieldhouse. Visitors can attend the volleyball matchup against Peru State at 10 and later the football game against Clarke University at 2. The Eagle Tailgate Palooza before the football game will open at Davis Field parking lot at noon. The Ashby-Hodge Gallery of American Art and the CMU Museum of History will also open at 10 a.m., and Songfest will take place at 5:30.
Bergsten Dining Hall will be open from 10:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., with meals free for CMU students on the meal plan and $6.50 plus tax for guests.
For those staying the full weekend, a Sunday morning worship service at the Linn Memorial United Methodist Church will begin at 10:30 a.m.
