CMU, MACC Partner for AT Master's

CMU, MACC agreement signingOfficials from Central Methodist University and Moberly Area Community College (MACC) came together on Wednesday, September 11 to sign a new transfer agreement for a 2+1+2 program for students pursuing a master’s degree in athletic training.

This agreement creates a seamless pathway for students to earn an Associate of Arts or Science degree at MACC and then transfer to CMU to complete a BS in Exercise Science and an MS in Athletic Training.  All three degrees can be completed in five years.

Dr. Rita Gulstad, CMU provost, and Dr. Todd Martin, MACC president, formalized the agreement last week, accompanied by members of their administrative and instructional staffs.

Both institutions also participate in a co-enrollment program, CentralMACC. This program provides MACC associate degree (AA/AS/AAT) enrollees who intend to transfer to and pursue a bachelor’s degree program at CMU the opportunity to concurrently enroll in CMU designated coursework at a MACC price.

Students in the program have the opportunity to enjoy a diverse, four-year, private college experience while taking advantage of the affordability of the community college and the diverse levels of academic preparation it accommodates.
