Union, St. Louis Hold Graduations

STL-grads.jpgCentral Methodist University recently celebrated commencement at two of its statewide locations within the College of Graduate and Extended Studies (CGES), recognizing students who earned degrees.

Held on August 1 at East Central College Theater, the Union graduation celebrated 25 graduates with around a hundred people in attendance. CMU provost Rita Gulstad was on hand to give the introduction and welcome, while Dr. Colleen Rull gave the commencement address. Rull has been an adjunct professor with Central in the St. Louis area for 10 years.

Students earning recognition for academic distinction were Alice Margaret Engbert, Katelynn Alora Keene, Catherine Nicole McDonald, Garrett Levi Poulette, and Matthew Gerard Soete.

The St. Louis commencement was held on August 3 at Manchester United Methodist Church in Manchester, with 14 graduates in attendance and around 120 guests. Dr. Deborah DeGan-Dixon, associate dean of assurance and regions for CMU, was the featured commencement speaker.

In addition to their degrees, the following students were recognized for academic distinction: Jacklyn Dawn Blazier, Jocelyn Elizabeth Craft, Marki Cole, Andrew Timothy Crum, Jolee Marie King, Mandy Lauren Martinez, Angela R. Ray, Sarah Claire Schultz, Catherine Rose Sharamitaro, Allison Claire Sutter, and Artemus Augustus Tuano.
