Open to K-12 teachers across the state, the event will feature a keynote session by Angel McNabb Staley of 3R Educational Solutions. Her talk, entitled “Be the Energy You Want to Attract,” will help participants discover how to create the classroom climate and culture they desire.

Other sessions will include information on managing conversations, engaging students in STEM, library resources for the classroom, and connecting with parents.

Several CMU staff members will also be on-hand for presentations, including Dr. Rita Gulstad, provost; Dr. Deborah DeGan-Dixon, associate dean; Sally Hackman, director of professional education; Suzi Kidd, CGES regional coordinator; and Maile Rhorer, director of CGES admissions.

The one-day event will begin at 8:30 a.m. and run through 3 p.m., in Cross Hall on the NCMC campus. Those interested in attending need to register at the following link: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdgH0_XbP5MeYmQDls6DkoQ-pTys-O5dDcMpUj_IfxQWAvE8Q/viewform.
