Central Methodist University and State Fair Community College (SFCC) will host an informational meeting at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 17 in the Booster Club Room at the Fred E. Davis Multipurpose Center on the Sedalia campus. Faculty and staff will present information about SFCC and CMU’s 2+1+2 Master of Science in Athletic Training (MSAT) program and career opportunities.
The program allows students to complete two years of coursework at SFCC, transfer to CMU to complete one year of undergraduate work, and then apply for the two-year MSAT program. The 60 credit-hour curriculum is a combination of classroom learning and clinical work that is completed in six semesters, including summer sessions.
The program prepares students for the Board of Certification examination for an entry-level career in the prevention, evaluation, treatment and rehabilitation of athletic injuries.
Anyone who has ever considered becoming an athletic trainer is invited to attend. Individuals who want to attend will need to register at https://forms.gle/GAgfTfazmppSJgdf7.
