Choir to Visit St. Louis

chorale-23.jpgThe Central Methodist University choir, under the direction of Dr. Patrick Dill, will be making its way to the St. Louis area on Sunday, April 16 for a pair of performances.

The choir is scheduled to make its annual appearance at Salem United Methodist Church in St. Louis for 11 a.m. worship, where the singers will be performing three pieces from the concert program. Then, the group will perform at Manchester United Methodist Church as part of the church’s concert series at 7 p.m. Manchester UMC music director Kevin McBeth has been a strong supporter of CMU choirs for many years, says Dill.

On the program for the performances is Patrick Hawes’s “Beatitudes,” interspersed with additional pieces with texts from a variety of cultural sources.

The following students will be traveling for the concerts as members of the choir: Andrew Adams, Daniel Ard, Grady Baker, Taylor Baker, Rob Brown, Gram Coalier, Madisyn Conway, Bryce Daugherty, Elana Dodson, Danny Eckhoff, Che’ Anthony Gianquinto, Gracie Hartford, Sarah King, Xaden Lockett, Cadence Lutman, Samantha Maddux, Cocone Matsuzawa, Justin McEnaney, Emily Millstead, Dalton Myler, Emily Myler, Mariah Nichols, Cole Nowlin, Anna Pendergrass, Lilly Powell, Tristin Prewitt, Arielle Prince, Caleb Raley, Justin Reed, Paul Reinert, Devin Rodgerson, Amanda Schrivener, Jay Strain, Brandon Swanson, Vincent Tota Srader, Noah VanGundy, Jackson White, and Jordyn Williamson.
