The Central Methodist University choir, under the direction of Dr. Patrick Dill, will be making its way to the St. Louis area on Sunday, April 16 for a pair of performances.
The choir is scheduled to make its annual appearance at Salem United Methodist Church in St. Louis for 11 a.m. worship, where the singers will be performing three pieces from the concert program. Then, the group will perform at Manchester United Methodist Church as part of the church’s concert series at 7 p.m. Manchester UMC music director Kevin McBeth has been a strong supporter of CMU choirs for many years, says Dill.
On the program for the performances is Patrick Hawes’s “Beatitudes,” interspersed with additional pieces with texts from a variety of cultural sources.
