The Swinney Conservatory of Music at Central Methodist University will soon begin its holiday programs with Sunday’s choir concert, A Service of Lessons and Carols. Led by Dr. Patrick Dill, assistant professor of music, the CMU choirs will perform for the public at 5 p.m. in Linn Memorial United Methodist Church.
The program for the evening includes seven lessons, to be presented through scripture readings and carols. In addition to Dill as the conductor, Bill O’Neal will be on-hand for the welcome prayer and Christmas blessing. Jonelle Loehnig will serve as the organist, and Janet O’Neill will be the accompanist on the piano.
The choirs will be led by Chamber Chorale Fellow Lilly Powell and Choir Fellow Danny Eckhoff. Other members of the ensembles include:
Soprano – Elena Dodson, Hunter Hanson, Gracie Hartford, Sarah King, Emily Millstead, Emily Myler, Mariah Nichols, Emmalee Perkins, Teddy Plowman, Lilly Powell, Devin Rodgerson, Amanda Schrivener, and Jordan Williamson.
Alto – Taylor Baker, Mallory Boyer, Courtney Dawson, Mikayla Kinkead, Cadence Lutman, Samantha Maddux, Cocone Matsuzawa, Anna Pendergrass, Tristin Prewitt, Arielle Prince, Caleb Raley, and Tambria Wilson.
Tenor – Grady Baker, P. Rob Brown, Gram Coalier, Rowan Collom, Xaden Lockett, Justin McEnaney, Dalton Myler, Cole Nowlin, Connor Rich, Jackson Strain, and Nathan Wren.
Bass – Andrew Adams, Daniel Ard, Bryce Daugherty, Danny Eckhoff, Che’Anthony Gianquinto, Tres Hampton, Lucas Icarte, Mason Mitchell, Justin Reed, Paul Reinert, Brandon Swanson, Vincent Tota Srader, Noah VanGundy, and Colby Vincent.
