Central Methodist University and downtown Fayette once again played host to dozens of schools from the region in this year’s Band Day on October 1. More than 30 schools came to perform in the parade, field competition, and other indoor competitions.
The 57th annual Band Day brought back several directors who either attended or are attending Central, including Shelly Swink (Glasgow), Jack Malo (Gallatin), Kevin Fearn (Harrisburg), Jonathan Hobbs (Mid-Buchanan), Michael Williams and Crystal Kimmi (Salisbury), Tiffany Lechner (Blair Oaks), Alec Fields (Boonville), Casey McDonald-Schneider (Fatima), Ryan Lewis (Hallsville), Kelly Neudecker (Fulton), Sara Summers (Marshall), Josh Yancey (Mexico), and Jared Sabatasso (Waynesville).
The top schools in each class went home with trophies and awards for each category. Those results are listed below.
