Robin Eichler of St. Louis, Mo. was recently named the Spring semester’s Gulstad Achievement Scholarship winner from St. Louis Community College. The scholarship is awarded each semester to as many as five deserving students transferring into Central Methodist University’s College of Graduate and Extended Studies (CGES).
Eichler is currently working as a registered nurse but would like to obtain a Bachelor of Science in nursing through Central and one day join a nurse practitioner’s program. She says her end goal is to complete her degree and practice as an NP in an acute care setting, all while being able to dedicate her spare time, knowledge, and skills to helping low-income, high-need communities in the St. Louis area.
The Gulstad Award is named after longtime CMU provost Dr. Rita Gulstad and was established to provide scholarship funds to qualified community college students who would like to continue their education through Central.
