Central Methodist University graduates from the Park Hills and Poplar Bluff locations will have their opportunity to walk across the stage and receive their degrees at this weekend’s commencement ceremony.
The event will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, May 22, in the Mineral Area College gymnasium. Dr. Rita Gulstad, CMU provost, will be on-hand, as will site coordinator Jeff Williams.
The commencement speaker for the ceremony will be Dr. Joseph Gilgour, president of Mineral Area College. Gilgour has been president at MAC since 2019, previously serving as the dean of student and academic support services at State Fair Community College in Sedalia. He lives just outside Park Hills with his wife and two children.
Amy Keller, ’10, will be the alumni speaker for the event. Keller is active with the Missouri Alliance for Home Care and Adult Day Care Association and works with the backpack program that donates to local school districts. She is currently serving in her fourth year on the Board of Directors for the Bonne Terre Chamber of Commerce and is the mother of three children.
