The end of an eventful academic year is in sight, and Central Methodist University is pleased to announce that proud graduates will walk across the stage at two in-person graduation ceremonies Saturday, May 8 at Davis Field. Times are 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
Each ceremony is limited to 130 graduates. To allow for proper distancing, there is a four-person limit on guests for each graduate. Registration is required for graduates and for their guests.
The guest speaker for commencement is Dr. Robert T. “Tad” Perry ’65, chairman of the board at Central Methodist. Originally from Fayette, Dr. Perry retired as executive director of the South Dakota Higher Education Board of Regents. He has served as Central’s board chair since October 2014. Prior to his time on the Board of Regents in South Dakota, Perry was assistant provost and a longtime political science professor at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana.
Perry earned a bachelor’s degree at Central Methodist University, and his Ph.D. from the University of Missouri.
Due to COVID-19 distancing requirements, there will be no baccalaureate ceremony this spring.
