GEMS Recital to Be Livestreamed

GEMS-header.jpgThe annual GEMS of Vocal Literature Recital will be presented to a limited live audience and over livestream at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, October 23.

Fourteen Central Methodist University vocal students under the direction of Dr. Susan Quigley-Duggan and Dr. Kristin Newbegin will present a varied program of Italian, German, French, English, and contemporary American songs. Selections include songs by composers such as Handel, Mozart, Schubert, Mahler, Bizet, Rorem, Thiman, Bernstein, and Quilter.

Performers for this year’s recital include Kona Asi, P. Rob Brown, Ezechiel Daos, Addylyn Gabriel, Taylor Graham, Gracie Hartford, Dalton Myler, Ben Pilger, Lilly Powell, Hailey Sage, Ian Schmidt, Elizabeth Cueni-Smith, Connor Rich, and Kennedy Walker. The vocalists will be accompanied by collaborative pianists Mary Jane Nance and Jonie Loehnig.
