Brooke Leeper and Jessica Parsons are this year’s scholars from North Central Missouri College in Trenton, and will begin as CMU students in the coming semester.

Leeper, of Princeton, Mo., is planning to study elementary education and attend online classes beginning this fall.

Parsons, of Harris, Mo., is also set to begin online classes in the fall and will study to become a middle school math teacher.

Each student will receive a scholarship in the amount of $2,500 for the upcoming academic year.

The Gulstad Scholarship is named after longtime CMU provost Dr. Rita Gulstad and was established to provide scholarship money to qualified community college students who would like to continue their education through Central.
