Jeffries Begins Work as CGES Admissions Rep.

Jeffries.jpgCentral Methodist University alumna Caryn Jackson Jeffries, ‘13, recently began a new chapter in her CMU story, moving from Communications Specialist to Admissions Representative in the College of Graduate and Extended Studies (CGES) realm.

The Fulton native first joined the Central staff in 2015 as Color Guard Director and in 2018 accepted the position of CGES Communication Specialist. On March 23, Jeffries began her new role as the representative for CGES psychology, child development, and education students. She will be working directly with students regarding those programs and ensuring completed application processes.

In addition to her on-campus responsibilities, Jeffries will get the opportunity to attend recruitment events and further develop professional relationships between institutions.

“I’m most excited to encourage and assist students of all walks of life to achieve their goals in the most efficient and productive manner possible,” she said.

Outside of work at her alma mater, Jeffries enjoys staying involved in Color Guard clinics and performances. She is a fan of language learning, and enjoys studying English and Spanish grammar. She loves spending time with her husband, dogs, and cat, as well as attending live comedy shows and “absorbing all facts Jurassic Park.”
