The newest member of the Central Methodist University plant operations team is Kimberly Merril, a 2014 graduate of Mexico High School in upstate New York.
Merrill began work at Central on November 11, joining the housekeeping staff under the direction of Candy Cornman, Assistant Director of Facility Safety and Custodial Services. Her responsibilities include cleaning restrooms and floors in various buildings, vacuuming, and generally helping to keep the campus looking nice.
After graduating from high school, where she was the Business Honor Society president for a school year, Merrill attended Brigham Young University in Idaho for three years. During that time, she worked with the custodial department maintaining the cleanliness of the university and training new employees on proper procedure.
Following her time out west, Merrill landed in central Missouri and began working at Muddy Mo Pizzaria in Glasgow. As a manager, she was responsible for filling out orders and scheduling workers, in addition to overall customer service.
In her spare time, Merrill says, she enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and knitting blankets and scarves.
