Participants in this year’s Central Methodist University Worship Band were announced recently by Dr. Ryan McLouth, music ministry program director. A total of 37 students will be involved in various roles beginning this fall.
Four members will be involved in the band as student directors: Mitchell Crofton, music ministry major from Springfield, Ill.; Jack Fender, music ministry major from Columbia.; Joseph Mayo, music ministry major from Lee’s Summit; and Abby Ruggles, music ministry major from Fayette. Josiah Kee, interdisciplinary studies major from Franklin, will participate as a teaching assistant.
The majority of the band members will take part as musicians or vocalists, including the following four students on bass: Quiz Falls, communications major from Marshall; Connor Sanchegraw, music education major from Columbia; Enoch Turner, pre-engineering major from Prairie Home; and Clayton Garnett, music major from Moberly.
On drums will be Simeon Brown, undeclared major from Alton, Ill.; Austin Holcomb, interdisciplinary studies major from Fulton; Tyrone Harris, health care administration major from Dixon; and McCain Joseph, health care administration major from Cape Coral, Fla.
Guitar players for this year’s band include Spencer Dry, music major from Benton City; Hunter Hanson, communications major from Soldotna, Alaska; Paul Harrison, music education major from Huntsville; and Ross Nelson, business major from Winston.
On keyboards for the band this year will be Addylyn Gabriel, music education major from Agency; Hannah Guilford, music education major from Centralia; Wesley Spargo, religion major from Springfield, Mo.; and Elyse Travis, religion major from Coatsburg, Ill.
Making up the rest of the Worship Band will be the following vocalists: Crystal Kimmi, music education major from Aurora; Alicia King, English major from Salisbury; Rachel Martin, music education major from Fayette; Chely Stratton, pre-nursing major from Raymore; Shelly Swink, music major from Saint Robert;
Cemaria Woodward, biology major from Saint Peters; Ryanne Burks, exercise science major from Springfield, Mo.; Zachary Barnes, music ministry major; Mikayla Kinkead, music ministry major from Fredericktown; Emilee Moody, accounting major from Liberty;
Emilee Nelsen, music ministry major from Troy; Brooke Phillips, chemistry major from Perryville; Lilly Powell, music education major from Sikeston; Cora Spain, education major from Fredericktown; Kennedy Walker, music ministry major from Boonville; and Nathan Wren, music education major from Ballwin.
