Central Methodist University has hired Tricia Hackman, from Glasgow, as its new mailroom supervisor/payroll assistant. Her first day at Central was Monday, July 22.
In this role, Hackman is responsible for processing outgoing and incoming mail, and also serves as the campus receptionist answering switchboard calls. Additionally, she serves as a payroll assistant for projects within Human Resources.
“I’m so excited to join the CMU family and look forward to the opportunity to help students, staff, and visitors in the years to come,” Hackman said.
Hackman joins CMU after working for Howard County as a recording clerk/court clerk – a position she also held from 1999-2010. In this role, she processed various instruments and fees for the Howard County recorder of deeds, paid out end-of-the-month fees and balanced the recorder bank account, answered incoming calls and assisted with inquiries, issued marriage licenses, assisted with passport applications, and electronically processed cases/filings for the Circuit Court Juvenile Division.
Between her stints with Howard County, Hackman was the owner/operator of an in-home day care, providing care for six full-time children. Before that, she worked for American Family Insurance as an administrative assistant.
Hackman currently resides in Glasgow with her husband, Phillip, and their two daughters.
