It’s that time of year again when friends, family, and supporters of Central Methodist University Eagle Athletics join one another for an exciting event that greatly benefits the athletic program.
The “Celebrating Eagle Athletics Auction and Dinner” will be held in Central’s Puckett Field House on Friday, July 19, beginning at 5:30 p.m.
As it has for years, the event is sure to be a crowd-pleaser, kicking off with a silent auction, hors d’oeuvres, and live music. The music will continue through dinner, which will begin at 6:30 p.m., and the evening will be capped off with a special program, followed by the live auction, at approximately 7:30 p.m.
A robust list of nearly 100 silent auction items will be available for bid, including CMU memorabilia, scuba lessons, and gift baskets. Additionally, many high-ticket items will be available during the live auction, including a week-long stay in Talkeetna, Alaska, a private flight to a destination of choice, St. Louis Cardinals tickets, an Ascend 10H Kayak, a two-day hunt for two at Broken Arrow Farms in Pierre, S.D., and a one-week stay in Ocean Beach, Calif.
The host hotel for the event is Drury Inn and Suites (Columbia, Mo.), who will be offering rooms at a special rate. Interested guests can call 573-445-1800 and use the rate code 325402. A shuttle, provided by White Knight, will be available to transport guests to and from the hotel, and to the CMU campus and back.
Tickets are $75 for an individual, $130 for a couple, or $650 for a 10-person table. To purchase tickets, please visit centralalumnievents.com/home. For questions or additional information, email Josh McCarroll at jmccarroll@centralmethodist.edu or call 660-248-6239.
