CMU, Mercy Make High-Quality Education More Attainable

Since 2013, Central Methodist University and Mercy Hospital in St. Louis have been partnering to offer the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (RN-BSN) to Mercy employees studying through Central’s College of Graduate and Extended Studies (CGES). This partnership has provided countless opportunities for nurses to build on their careers and overall success.

Now, all employees of Mercy are able to take advantage of a new benefit – one designed to help make receiving a high-quality education much more achievable.

Central and Mercy recently expanded their agreement to include a tuition discount for all Mercy employees, system-wide. Starting this fall, Mercy employees working toward completing any undergraduate or graduate degree through CMU’s CGES program will be eligible.

“CMU is honored to partner with Mercy to provide a wide range of education opportunities for its employees to enhance the workforce in the communities they serve,” said CMU Provost Dr. Rita Gulstad.

Since its founding in 1854, Central Methodist has evolved into a university that confers over 40 master's, bachelor's and associate degrees through programming on its main campus in Fayette, Mo., through extension sites across Missouri, and online.

Mercy employees must self-identify and provide proof of employment in order for the discount to be applied. For questions or additional details about this new benefit, please contact Natalie Morris at nmorris@centralmethodist.edu or call 314-227-4420.
