Ivy Dority Hired As Collection Specialist

Central Methodist University’s Business Office has hired Ivy Dority, originally from Lincoln but currently a New Franklin resident, as its new collection specialist/assistant student accounts supervisor.

In this role, Dority is responsible for the timely collection of student accounts, and analyzing, monitoring, and reporting accounts receivable balances. She also will produce monthly billing statements, handle the processing of delinquent accounts, maintain collection reports, and much more.

“I am overjoyed to accept this position at Central Methodist because it will give me the opportunity to make a difference in the financial management and readiness in the lives of students and families,” Dority said.

Dority joined CMU after working in Accounts Payable for RhythmOne in Columbia. In that position, she monitored publisher activity, calculated monthly revenue, wired payments for publishers and company expenses, completed monthly billing, and more.

She also has professional experience working as an administrative assistant for GeneTrait Laboratories, and as a patient service representative for University of Missouri Health Care – both in Columbia.

In 2013, Dority received certification in graphic design through State Fair Community College’s Technical Program in Sedalia. She currently lives in New Franklin with her sons, Jace, 4, and Luke, 1.
