Central Methodist University’s Enactus team, made up of students majoring or interested in business, has been nominated to receive a 2019 Enactus Excellence Award.
Enactus is an international organization focused on empowering students to take entrepreneurial action toward bettering the world. The team regularly reaches out to local entrepreneurs, schools, and organizations in an effort to help the community and those in need.
This year, in an effort to recognize Enactus teams for their hard work and dedication, Enactus United States launched the Enactus Excellence Awards. Out of seven award categories, the category for which the team was nominated is “Excellence in Community Engagement.”
“It is quite an honor and a very impressive achievement,” said CMU Professor Julie Duerst Bennett, Enactus Sam Walton Fellow.
Winners from all categories will be announced during the Final Round of Competition Awards Ceremony on Tuesday, May 7 at the 2019 Enactus USA National Exposition in Kansas City, Mo.
