Central Methodist University is hosting an “Experience Central Day” with an emphasis on emerging programs at the University.
These on-the-rise programs include Track and Field, Wrestling, Football, Esports, Cheer, Dance, and Color Guard.
In addition to providing in-depth information for these areas, the day is designed to be informative while sparking excitement for what’s to come for soon-to-be college students. It helps prospective students learn a few of the ins and outs of campus, while seeing for themselves why Central is the right choice for them.
Hosted by CMU’s Office of Admissions, the day will kick off at 9 a.m. on Saturday, March 16 at CMU’s main campus in Fayette.
The event will feature an overview of academic majors, athletics, Greek Life, and various student clubs and organizations.
Prospective students and parents will have the opportunity to hear from Dr. Joe Parisi, vice president of enrollment management, participate in a faculty showcase, and learn about Digital U, Central’s technology initiative that provides iPads to all on-campus students.
Dueling Pianos – a well-known interactive musical comedy group – will perform from 11:30 to 12:30 on the fourth floor of the Student Center. This performance is open to the general public, as well.
Before lunch, visitors also will attend a student organization fair to inquire about how to get involved in various groups at CMU.
To attend, register at go.centralmethodist.edu/previewcmu/inquiryform. On the day of the event, attendees should meet at 9 a.m. in Stedman Hall of Science (Room 200).
