With many years of experience in accounting and auditing, Kelsey Grimm, from Glasgow, will undoubtedly make a positive impact on Central Methodist University’s College of Graduate and Extended Studies (CGES).
Working from CMU’s main campus in Fayette, Grimm has been named the student accounts advisor. In this position, she ensures financial readiness for CGES students, which includes students who study at off-campus CMU Centers across the state and online.
“I couldn’t be more excited for the opportunity to join a team that has such a great mission, creed, values, and goals,” Grimm said. “I’m very proud to be a part of this wonderful University, and I look forward to doing my small part in a student’s life to help them be successful.”
Grimm will work collaboratively with Central’s billing specialist to resolve delinquent student accounts. She will work with the Admissions and Financial Assistance offices to proactively focus on student accounts, supporting retention and preventing delinquencies. She also will provide financial counseling to students, and more.
Prior to joining CMU, Grimm worked in accounting at the Isle of Capri Hotel and Casino in Boonville, where she processed and issued payments, communicated with vendors, was responsible for several forms of documentation, and kept track of a variety of accounting data. Before moving to accounting, she worked as an auditor there.
“We are thrilled to have Kelsey join the Business Office team,” said Shelley Monnig, business services manager. “Her background in accounting and positive attitude will help us provide great customer service to our off-site students.”
Grimm currently lives just outside of Glasgow with her husband, Ben, and two children.
