Understanding “the college life” can be intimidating for some high school seniors. Central Methodist University eases the transition and sparks excitement for what’s to come by hosting an event designed to help prospective students learn a few of the ins and outs, while seeing for themselves why Central is the right choice for them.
Experience Central Day, hosted by CMU’s Office of Admissions, will kick off at 10 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 18 at CMU’s main campus in Fayette.
The day will feature an overview of academic majors, athletics, Greek Life, and various student clubs and organizations.
Prospective students and parents will have the opportunity to hear from Dr. Joe Parisi, vice president of enrollment management, participate in a faculty showcase, and learn about Digital U, Central’s technology initiative that provides iPads to all on-campus students.
Before lunch in Bergsten Dining Hall, visitors also will attend a student organization fair to inquire about how to get involved in various groups at CMU.
To attend, register by Friday, Feb. 15. On the day of the event, attendees should meet at 10 a.m. on the fourth floor of the Inman Student and Community Center.
