Nick Johnston is an internationally recognized performer and recording artist, and he’ll soon be making his way to Fayette to perform at Central Methodist University.
Sponsored by CMU’s Cultural Affairs and Student Government Association, and hosted by the Fine Arts Department, the event will include a workshop at 4 p.m. and a concert at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 5 in the Little Theatre on CMU’s Fayette campus. Both opportunities are free and open to the public.
The workshop topic is music improvisation and composition, according to Dr. Ryan McLouth, music ministry program director at CMU.
The concert will feature guitar, jazz, rock, fusion, blues, improvisation, and more, according to McLouth.
Johnston is a Schecter endorsed signature artist, and has been featured in Guitar World Magazine, Andertons Music Co. online show, and has toured with Animals As Leaders, Polyphia, Intervals, and Plini.
