As Central Methodist University’s fall semester begins to wrap up and Christmas break approaches, CMU music students are also preparing to put on their final Concert Band performance of the year.
Free and open to the public, the Concert Band will perform on Sunday, Dec. 2 at 4 p.m. in Linn Memorial United Methodist Church on CMU’s main campus in Fayette.
The 68-member band is directed by Roy “Skip” Vandelicht, CMU associate professor of music and director of bands.
The performance will include “The Squealer” by Will Huff, arranged by Andrew Glover; “Mannin Veen” by Haydn Wood; “October,” by Eric Whitacre; “Prelude, Siciliano, and Rondo” by Malcom Arnold, arranged by John P. Paynter; “Masque” by Kenneth Hesketh; “Songs from the Great War” arranged by Andrew Glover; and “Festive Christmas” arranged by Kenny Bierschenk.
