Career Development Center To Host Health Professions Expo

The James C. Denneny Jr. Career Development Center at Central Methodist University will soon open the fourth floor of the Inman Student and Community Center’s Jacobs Conference Center to nearly thirty employers for the third annual Health Professions Career Expo. The event will be hosted Wednesday, Oct. 31, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Employers attend ready to talk with students about full-time employment, summer jobs, internships, and graduate/professional school information in the fields of nursing, occupational therapy, physical therapy, and athletic training.

Employers such as BJC Health Care, and Cox Health Systems, along with graduate schools, CMU-College of Graduate and Extended Studies, and A.T. Still University of Health Sciences will be in attendance.

Employers are encouraged to register through Handshake by Monday, Oct. 29. CMU welcomes all to participate in the opportunity, which offers organizations a chance to meet nearly 200 students face-to-face.

Students should register through Handshake by Sunday, Oct. 28 to receive lunch courtesy of the Career Development Center.

Nicolette Yevich, director of the Career Development Center said, “I encourage students to attend with an open mind. Take this opportunity to meet recruiters. Our employers and graduate schools are looking for bright and talented people to join their team, and want to meet their next intern or full-time employee.”
