For the second year, Central Methodist University’s Greek Life will be hosting a car wash to benefit local families.
The wash will take place at the C&R Market parking lot from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 21.
All proceeds will be going to Fayette Park and Recreation to provide families in need with pool passes to the Fayette pool, according to CMU assistant coordinator of student activities Mike Rambo.
The slogan for the car wash is “Get Fed, Get Washed at the Greek Car Wash.” All donations are accepted and appreciated, and there also will be hots dogs for sale on site.
“The car wash is just another great event that provides an opportunity for our CMU Greeks to lend out a helping hand and give back to the community,” Rambo said.
Last year, the Greek Car Wash raised over 400 dollars for disadvantaged youth attending Fayette Public Schools. According to Rambo, the Greeks hope to continue this fundraiser year after year to help the community.
