Websites have become the Number One advertising and communications tool for colleges across the country, and Central Methodist University’s website is no exception. It takes a detail-oriented and multi-talented individual to manage a website, and CMU is pleased to announce that Jessi Harper has joined its team as webmaster.
Harper, from Moberly, has a diverse set of skills ranging from web development, web design and content management to graphic design. Coming to CMU from Central Christian College of the Bible, she also has experience in academic services and financial aid.
Harper, who has a bachelor’s degree in information systems-web application development from Illinois State University, received an associate’s degree in graphic design from Southeastern Community College in West Burlington, Iowa.
“We are delighted to have Jessie joining the marketing team,” said Scott Queen, executive director of marketing. “She is a solutions-oriented person with great attention to detail.”
Harper will handle day-to-day content updates to the institutional website, manage the site analytics, and oversee search engine optimization improvements.
“I’m looking forward to the challenge,” she said. “I’ve always loved web development. And I’m also very excited to become a part of the new marketing team at Central.”
Harper is married to Walt Harper, who professor of Bible and Ministry at Central Christian College of the Bible. They have one child, and another on the way.
