The Central Methodist University men's soccer team was honored recently for academic excellence.
The Eagles, who finished the season 13-3-3, finished their academic season in strong fashion, as well with the highest GPA increase among teams on the Fayette campus. The team, coached by Alex Nichols, David Macsicza, Marc Russell, and Rafael Ferreira Ortiz, was awarded "Academic Champion" shirts for the Center for Learning and Teaching in recognition of their hard work and determination to individual success in the classroom.
The men's soccer team boasts an overall GPA over 3.3, along with softball, women's soccer, and volleyball.
