The admired Boston Brass ensemble will present a recital at Linn Memorial United Methodist Church on the campus of Central Methodist University in Fayette at 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 20.
The recital is free and open to all.
The Boston Brass has a 31-year history of playing to audiences in lively repartee, touched with humor and personality. They blend classical formality with boisterous fun and interact well with their audience. They will have spent the day working with high school students and their teachers from the area in small clinics and instructional sessions. They will also have worked with CMU brass players and their directors.
Each year the Boston Brass performs more than 100 times in concerts, educational venues, and jazz festivals. They also regularly perform with orchestras, wind ensembles, brass bands, marching bands, and other ensembles. They have performed across the United States and around the world and have recorded numerous CD albums.
