Winter break is nearly over, and students are beginning to think about the beginning of second semester at Central Methodist University. Many of the athletes are back already, in fact, playing conference basketball games.
The residence halls will open at noon on Sunday, Jan. 14, for students to move back in. Officially, CMU classes will begin for the campus’ second semester at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 16, the day after the official observance of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
New student orientation will begin on Monday, Jan. 15, at 12:30 p.m. in the Inman Student Community Center on the fourth floor. It will include discussions with the Career Development Office, the Office of Student Development, Technology Services, and others. The event is mandatory for all first-time CMU students for the spring semester, including transfers from community colleges or four-year schools. Lunch will be provided.
Validation for returning students will take place from 10:30-11:30 p.m., also on Monday, Jan. 15, in the Student Community Center.
Students who still need to enroll for the 2018 spring semester should contact the CMU Admission Office at 660-248-6251 or admissions@centralmethodist.edu.
