CMU To Stage Awesome Allie

Though billed as children’s theatre, patrons of all ages will enjoy the upcoming Central Methodist University production of Awesome Allie.

The annual children’s play, put on by the cast and crew of CMU’s Little Theatre, will be presented to elementary school students Wednesday-Friday Nov. 8-10. Public performances are set for Saturday, Nov. 11 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 12 at 1:30 p.m.

Area schools who have made plans to attend the weekday performances include Benton Elementary (Marshall), Daly Elementary (Fayette), Glasgow, Glasgow St. Mary’s, home-school students, New Franklin Elementary, Pilot Grove Elementary, Renick Elementary, Salisbury, and Salisbury St. Joseph’s.

Awesome Allie is a tale of a young girl who has been given the mission of crossing the solar system in order to save Earth, and maybe learn some things about science on the way.

A special guest directing Awesome Allie will be noted dancer, actor, director, and choreographer Carol Estey of Columbia.
