With many years of professional experience in student recruitment for higher education, Kristen Revis, from Brentwood, is a promising addition to the Central Methodist University admissions team.
Revis was recently hired as a CMU regional admissions representative, with her assigned territory being the St. Louis metropolitan area, according to Dr. Joseph Parisi, vice president for enrollment management at CMU.
In this position, Revis will work to recruit prospective students within her focus area, and regularly communicate with these students and their families. Additionally, she will develop relationships with various high school representatives, and spend time traveling to college fairs and other special events.
Before joining CMU, Revis was the director of admissions at Lindenwood University in St. Charles. In that position, she recruited, trained, and successfully led a team of 16 admissions counselors toward recruitment goals. Furthermore, she designed and implemented strategies for enrollment.
Revis also obtained recruitment experience during her time as Lindenwood’s Wildwood site director – a position that called for recruiting, enrolling, and advising students for evening and graduate programs.
Additionally, she was an admissions and financial aid counselor for Lindenwood, and noted she recruited the largest number of students in the Day Admissions Office, averaging 145 per year.
“I am elated to add Kristen Revis to our recruitment team. In addition to drawing praise for recruitment success over eight years, Revis was frequently recognized for her customer-centric approach to admissions,” Parisi said. “She comes to CMU with a wealth of knowledge, experience, and recruitment success that will help grow our St. Louis efforts.”
Revis received a Bachelor of Arts degree in business administration, a Master of Arts degree in education administration, and a Specialist degree in education in instructional leadership, all from Lindenwood.
