Another summer is beginning to wrap up, and Central Methodist University is excited to welcome its students to campus.
The 2017-18 collegiate year will kick off with the first day of classes on Monday, Aug. 21. During the first week, students will have opportunities to participate in several welcoming activities, including an Eclipse Luncheon, a Greek Welcome Back Bash, Fair on the Square, a free movie at Regal Theater, Opening Convocation, and a Pep Rally Lunch to finish up the first week.
Many students have already begun arriving to campus, with resident assistants, early arrival international students, returning athletic trainers, and several pre-season athletic teams arriving last week. Pre-season cross country, band, chorale, and worship band also stepped foot on campus early this week.
International students are scheduled to make their debut on Wednesday (Aug. 16), as well as Peer-2-Peer participants. Later in the week, orientation leaders, and all new and returning students will arrive, just in time for classes Monday morning.
