Student Ambassadors work for the Central Methodist University Admission Office. Often they are the students who have some of the greatest influence on the young people who are considering CMU for their college choice.
These students are some of Central’s finest, chosen because of their proven leadership skills, devotion to CMU, and their ability to communicate effectively. They guide potential students and their families around the Fayette campus, sharing the buildings, history, and opportunities found here.
They explain how the campus functions and what students are likely to experience. Ambassadors assist at other CMU events as well.
Dakota Gladbach, CMU Admission counselor who helps coordinate the Ambassador program, says the department looks for bright, enthusiastic, proud, and honest students to be CMU Ambassadors. This year the program has selected nine students as Ambassadors.
They include Quiz Falls from Marshall, a sophomore whose major is music education; Matt Fohn, a sophomore from Lebanon, Mo., who is working toward a bachelor of science degree; Cassie Geisendorfer from Shelbyville, a senior majoring in nursing;
Raelynn Henson, a sophomore from Clever, Mo., who is majoring in health sciences; Scarlett McMullen, a junior from Palmyra, majoring in special education; Gabe Navarro, a junior business major from Juarez, Mexico;
Hannah Pratt, a senior biology major from Fayette; Abi Schapira, a senior from Rocheport who is majoring in biology; and Emma Siegel, a sophomore from Channahon, Ill., who is pursuing a bachelor of science degree.
