Middle and high-school students interested in attending Central Methodist University’s CMU Music Camp July 5-7, can still register until June 12.
The camp is designed for students in grades 6-12 for band and 8-12 for choir. Students in eligible grades will be able to work with both band and choir elements. Activities will include lessons, small ensemble work, and full bands and choirs.
Leading the camp will be university professors and highly-regarded high school music teachers. For students who were members of junior or senior high All-District Band or Choir groups this year, a $30 scholarship will cover part of their costs.
The fee for the camp is $190 to stay on campus or $130 for those commuting. The camp will end with an ensemble recital on the last day, followed by large band and choir performances, all open to the public.
