Central Methodist Faculty Promoted

Rewards for excellence in the classroom aren’t limited just to students at Central Methodist University. Three CMU faculty members have been awarded promotions in rank and one of them also was granted tenure.

The CMU Board of Trustees on Saturday (May 6) approved administrative recommendations for the promotions for Dr. John Porter, Dr. Susan Quigley-Duggan, and Dr. Travis Johnson.

Porter was promoted to Professor of English, from Associate Professor. He has been on the Central faculty since 1998.

Quigley-Duggan also advanced to full Professor of Voice and Opera, from Associate Professor. She has served CMU since 2006.

Dr. Travis Johnson, on the CMU faculty since 2011, was promoted to Associate Professor of English, from Assistant Professor. He was also granted tenure, or continuous appointment to the CMU faculty.
