Founders Weekend To Welcome Alumni, Friends

With the academic year wrapping up, exciting annual events are just around the corner for alumni and friends of Central Methodist University.

Founders Weekend, set to take place May 5-6, will be filled with entertaining and educational activities designed with Central visitors in mind – including the highly anticipated 71st annual Alumni Awards Banquet.

Those being recognized include Dr. George Schweitzer (Class of 1945), Mr. Franklin Wallis (’66), Mr. William Gamble (’74), Lt. Col. David Smith (’87), and Mr. J.W. Arnold (’90), who are all receiving a Distinguished Alumni Award; and Dr. Nolyn Nyatanga (’05), who is receiving the Young Alumni Award.

Advance registration is required for the Banquet, and is appreciated for other activities included in the weekend, according to Dr. Josh Jacobs, CMU vice president for advancement and alumni relations.
