Each spring, Central Methodist University’s Division of Business, Accounting, and Economics recognizes students for extraordinary academic achievements.
Awards were presented to 13 students during a Business Division Honors Banquet, which was held Monday, April 10, on CMU’s main campus in Fayette, according to Division Chair Julie Bennett.
Because they demonstrated outstanding work in the fields of accounting, finance, business management, economics, international business, marketing and advertising, entrepreneurship, and leadership, the following students received recognition:
Accounting Excellence Award, Zachary Andrews, a junior accounting major from Fayette; Banking and Finance Excellence Award, Brendan Ross, a senior business major from Louisiana; Noble Emmett Baskett Scholarship in Business Award, Clay Littrell, a junior business major from Glasgow;
Gentry Estill Award for Total Business Excellence, Nidal Memic, a senior business major from Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina; Susan Estill Award for Total Business Excellence, Darcy Latham, a senior business major from Bismarck;
Both the ENACTUS Senior Leadership Award and Management/General Business Excellence Award, Melanie Bryan, a senior psychology and business double major from Prairie Home; Marketing and Advertising Excellence Award, Michaela Pomajzl, a senior business major from Sedalia;
Outstanding Senior in Sports Management Award, Jakob Junker, a senior sports management major from Warrenton; Outstanding Senior in Business Award, Emily Van Beek, a senior business major from Fayette; Outstanding Senior in Accounting Award, Lauren Kramm, a senior accounting major from Glasgow;
Lisa Powell Goessling Merit Scholarship, Kaitlyn Rogers, a junior accounting major from Carl Junction; Shallenburger Accounting Principles Excellence Award, Abigaile Knopf, a freshman accounting major from Troy, Ill.; and Departmental Fellow for the 2017-18 Academic Year, Abigail Cross, a junior business major from Osborn.
