Bradley, Jordahl New Student Leaders At CMU

Students on the Fayette campus of Central Methodist University have elected Martha Bradley and Allison Jordahl as Student Government Association president and vice president, respectively, for the 2017-18 academic year.

Both are active and very well-known across the CMU campus, and went into the election having developed a clear platform. They stressed a desire to see greater student involvement in campus activities, improved stewardship of the SGA budget that is funded by student fees, and a focus on transparency and communication.

Bradley is a junior from Farmington double-majoring in Criminal Justice and Political Science. She is president of CMU’s pre-law program. Bradley participates in track and field for the CMU Eagles, is Editor-in-Chief of the campus student newspaper The Collegian, and is a member of Pi Gamma Mu honor society for social sciences.

“We are passionate about being the voice of the students here at Central,” Bradley said. She also cited bringing top-quality guest speakers and entertainment to CMU as a goal for 2017-18.

A sophomore majoring in Elementary Education, Jordahl came to Central from Rantoul, Ill. She plays softball, is on the leadership team for the campus chapter of Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and has been an SGA member since she was a freshman. She is a member of the Navigators program, as well.

“We want to be efficient communicators of what SGA is doing with the money that we are given, and create an environment where everyone has a voice and is being represented,” Jordahl said.
