CMU Musicians To Sponsor State Festival Coaching Day

As music students in high schools across Missouri prepare for state competition, they have access to some of the best “coaches” in the business at Central Methodist University’s Swinney Conservatory of Music.
On Wednesday, April 12, CMU will be sponsoring a Coaching Day. The free event is designed for students who are bound for the Missouri High School Activities Association (MSHSAA) State Music Festival this spring, for which CMU is a sponsor. CMU music faculty will work with soloists and ensembles to sharpen their performances.
While at Central, students can audition for CMU music scholarships and will be able to play and/or sing with a CMU ensemble. A free lunch will be provided.
The registration deadline for the event is Tuesday, April 4.
