Swinney Conservatory To Present Alice Dade, Peter Miyamoto

Dr. Alice Dade and Dr. Peter Miyamoto will present a joint recital in the Swinney Conservatory of Music’s Willie Mae Kountz Recital Hall on Central Methodist University’s Fayette campus on Friday, March 10, at 7:30 p.m.
The recital is free and open to the public.
Dr. Dade is a renowned flautist whose career includes a variety of concerto appearances, chamber music performances, recording projects and guest principal performances in orchestras around the world.
She will be joined by Dr. Miyamoto, collaborative pianist, who has an international career which covers Canada, Great Britain, Europe, and Asia, in addition to the United States.
Dade joined the faculty of the University of Missouri School of Music in 2011. She graduated from Interlochen Arts Academy, has been honored with the Young Artist Award, and received her undergraduate and graduate degrees from the Juilliard School of music.
Miyamoto is currently associate professor of piano and chamber music at the University of Missouri. He holds degrees from the Curtis Institute of Music, Yale University, Michigan State University, and the Royal Academy of Music in London.
They will be performing works from Kenji Bunch, Jean Francaix, Béla Bartók, Francis Poulenc, and François Borne.
