Anna Kay To Present Senior Vocal Performance Recital

Senior soprano Anna Kay, from Boonville, will present her senior vocal recital on Friday, March 31, at 7:30 p.m. in the Kountz Recital Hall, Swinney Conservatory of Music at Central Methodist University in Fayette.
The recital is free and open to the public.
Kay is a student of Dr. Susan Quigley-Duggan, CMU associate professor of voice and opera, and she presents this recital as part of her Bachelor of Music Performance degree.
During her hour-long recital, Kay will sing songs by Mozart, Schubert, Rodrigo, Hahn, Hue, Debussy, Gounod, Libby Larsen, Michael Head, Aaron Copland, and John Duke.
Kay has spent four years as a member of The Chorale, directed by Dr. Claude Westfall, director of chorale activities and associate professor of music, and went with the group in 2016 to perform at the International United Methodist General Conference in Portland, Ore.
She has been active in all things opera while at Central, including most recently as the lead of Gilbert and Sullivan’s HMS Pinafore. Prior to this year, she was involved in The Magic Flute, “A Valentine Toast to Opera and Music,” The Impresario, “Topsy Turvy,” and “Songs of Love and Celebration,” as well as other performances.
