Three students have been selected as new members of the Student Ambassadors at Central Methodist University, a program run by the Admission Office.
As ambassadors, the new students—Matt Fohn, a freshman physical education major from Lebanon, Quiz Falls, a freshman music education major from Marshall, and Gabe Navarro, a sophomore international business major from the country of Mexico—will serve as guides around the campus for students interested in coming to CMU.
Student ambassadors are chosen as diplomats who represent Central to prospective students and their parents. Faculty and staff who believe a student possesses skills of leadership often refer that student for the opportunity to become an ambassador, according to admissions counselor Dakota Gladbach.
“We look for bright, enthusiastic, proud, and honest people to join our program,” Gladbach said. “Visiting families put their trust into these students, and so does CMU.”
Ambassadors provide prospective students and their families an overall understanding of how the campus operates, offering them information about student experiences at CMU and answering their questions.
Fohn, Falls, and Navarro began their new responsibilities at the beginning of the spring semester.
