As the new year begins, Central Methodist University students will soon return to Fayette’s campus to kick off the Spring 2017 semester.
Residence Halls will open at 12 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 16, and classes officially begin at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 17. An orientation for new students also will be held Tuesday, with registration at 8:45 a.m. on the fourth floor of the Inman Student and Community Center on the Fayette campus.
Presentations will begin at 9 a.m., and will be given by Career Development, the Office of Student Development, Technology Services, and others.
“As a new student at CMU, you are bound to have questions,” said Ken Oliver, vice president of institutional growth and student engagement. “New Student Orientation is designed around you, helping uncover the answers to questions you have about campus resources, programs and services.”
This event is mandatory for all first-time CMU students for the spring semester, which includes transfers from other community colleges or four-year schools. Lunch will be provided.
Students who still need to enroll for the 2017 Spring Semester should call 660-248-6251 or email the CMU Admissions Office.
