Every year, the Intercollegiate Broadcasting System (IBS) honors colleges and universities that display excellence in their campus radio stations. This year, Central Methodist University has one finalist in the competition.
CMU is listed as a finalist in the category of “Best Show Promotional Poster,” created by Abby Addleman, a junior religion and church leadership major from Cape Girardeau.
The KCMU Eagle Radio station with adviser Dr. Kristin Cherry, associate professor of communication, is in competition with hundreds of other stations throughout the United States from small colleges to major universities.
Addleman’s competition includes student work from the University of Virginia, Arizona State University, Ashland University, State University of New York-Fredonia, and the University of Wisconsin.
Winners will be announced at the annual awards ceremony on March 4, 2017, in New York City.
