High school students will soon have the opportunity to participate in a worship music workshop during Central Methodist University’s Campus Ministry Program’s first ‘CMU Alive!’
Central Methodist’s Fine and Performing Arts Department and Center for Faith and Service are sponsoring the event, which will take place on Saturday, Feb. 4. Registration will begin at 10 a.m. in Linn Memorial United Methodist Church on the Fayette campus. There is no cost and a complimentary lunch will be provided.
The seminar is open to high school students at any instrumental or voice skill level, and from all denominations.
Participants will be instructed on musical technique, performance, style, and performance in group settings. There will also be workshops on leadership in worship, music technology, and songwriting.
“This event is beneficial to high school students because it will help them refine their musical and worship-leading skills,” said Ryan McLouth, assistant professor of music and music ministry program coordinator at CMU.
Register for the event. For questions, contact CMU’s Admissions Department at admissions@centralmethodist.edu or 660-248-6251.
